AFTER CARE
It's COMPLETELY normal for your eyebrows to look slightly darker during the first few days post-procedure. DO NOT WORRY, they will slowly lighten and shrink in size. This is the natural process. It's also expected that may scab/flake, so don't sweat that either. It is all temporary and will be gone within a few days.
IMPORTANT
How you take care of your newly microbladed eyebrows over the first 7-10 days will ultimately determine its healing, colour retention, final appearance, and longevity. It is important to remember that results vary by individual. Banu can give you the perfect eyebrows for your face but ultimately, the healed result is up to your body. We cannot guarantee anything because everyone heals differently and you must understand that this is a risk you are taking.
After your procedure
30 minutes after your treatment rinse the eyebrows with neutral soap(children's). Remove all the /lymph and previously applied the cream by doing so. After that apply a very thin layer of skin candy. Repeat this procedure 3-5 times during the day. If the treatment was done late in the afternoon and you do not have time to do so, put a plastic foil over the eyebrows you previously applied the cream on, so that you protect the eyebrows from drying and wiping overnight.
In the next seven days, maintain facial hygiene and apply the cream after washing your face or having a shower.
Redness or swelling is normal
Redness around the microbladed area is completely normal and tend to show more on lighter and cooler skin tones. Not to worry, the redness typically diminishes within 1-2 hours post-procedure. The swelling can be managed with soft gel ice packs. Place chilled gel packs (from refrigerator only) in plastic baggies before you place over the swollen area in order to prevent any infection or moisture contact. Swelling is rare but not abnormal.
Do not pick on flaking or scabbing!
As the skin starts its natural healing process, you may experience some flaking and/or scabbing. Picking or peeling any flakes or scabs can cause loss of implanted pigment and/or scarring. Please refrain from touching tattooed area except when applying ointment (and only do so with a q-tip). Some pigment may rub off, therefore, you should take precautions to protect linens and towels. It's also normal to see pigment on your q-tip after applying skin candy.
Avoid certain activities and don't use soaps and creams
Pools, Jacuzzis, saunas, tanning, excessive sweating, facials, hot yoga and other extremely humid situations should be avoided for a period of at least 14 days or until microbladed area is fully healed. Skin creams and products containing Retin-A, AHA, or any other kind of chemical peel must not be used directly on or near the tattooed area, as this will fade and possibly distort the brows. Sunblock should be applied over tattoos on days when you know you will be continuously under the sun for more than 2 hours. (SPF 50 Recommended)
When washing your face, refrain from using soaps and creams on the brow area during the healing period. When showering or bathing, avoid putting your face directly under the showerhead stream.
Final appearance will take 4-6 weeks
Do not panic! The colour immediately after tattooing will appear very sharp and dark but will soften and fade considerably as the healing process concludes. As with most operations and procedures, it must get worse before it gets better. The final appearance of the tattooed area should not be considered for at least 4-6 weeks after the final visit.
Touch-ups may be required
You may want to touch-up or augment an area after the pigment has settled, however, this can only take place after the 4-week healing period. A touch-up appointment is crucial with this procedure because Banu will try her best to match the desired shape and colour as much as possible, but your body may present the healed results differently. It is not uncommon for certain individuals with great retention of the pigment to not need a touch-up.
